END OF THE LINE On the planet Cbyath, Lobo pushes through a crowd of people, chasing someone. Lobo is chasing another Czarnian, who is running from him just up ahead. Lobo thinks that he won't stop until all the Czarnians are dead. Lobo, angry at the Czarnians for betraying him and leaving him for dead, continues after the Czarnian. He leaps at him, slashing with one of his knives. The Czarnian avoids it, and Lobo cries out into the sky, in front of the puzzled onlookers. Lobo continues slashing away at the Czarnian who begins backing away from him, keeping just out of reach from his blades. The Czarnian tells Lobo that he is obviously confused, and a green light illuminates the man. The "Czarnian", Hal Jordan, says that Lobo picked the wrong guy to mess with. He uses his ring's power against Lobo, who is thrown backwards by the blast. Hal Jordan charges Lobo, telling him that he's going to put the Czarnian down. Jordan creates a large fist out of energy from his ring, and thrusts it at Lobo. The fist collides with Lobo, again knocking the Czarnian off balance. Lobo lands in a fruit stand, but quickly recovers. Still hallucinating, Lobo still believes that the Green Lantern is a Czarnian. Lobo quickly helps up his arm, which was wounded in the scuffle. Lobo takes out his blades again, and rushes at Hal. Lobo dives at Jordan, screaming that this time he'll "stay dead", Lobo still believing Hal to be a Czarnian. Lobo sees the Czarnian prepare to throw a punch. Hal knocks Lobo into another fruit stand telling him that he asked for this. Hal punches Lobo again, but stops abruptly, noting all the damage that they've caused to the street that they're in. Lobo doesn't waste the distraction, tackling Hal into another stand. Lobo attempts to drive his blades into Hal's face, but Hal drives him off, and flies into space, carrying him. Lobo bites Hal, and the two begin grappling while flying. Hal, still carrying Lobo, notes that they're far enough away from the cities. He looks back and comments on Lobo's healing. Hal punches Lobo, and Lobo flies downward, away from Hal, and back onto the planet. On his way down, Lobo re-enters the planet's atmosphere and begins burning up. Lobo thinks about the situation as he falls, and struggles to understand why the Czarnians would do this to him. After all, he did try to save them. As he thinks, Lobo's skin continues to burn away. Lobo approaches the city, and to him, it looks like his home city on Czarnia. Lobo crashes, and appears to be a black, skinless, skeleton. Lobo looks up from the crater that he's in, and sees Sinestro, and three other alien beings. They begin walking away, but Lobo calls after them that he'll never stop, and that he's a Lobo. A black-garbed person appears in front of Lobo, and reaches out to him. Lobo reaches out to the man, desperate for someone to take him home. Lobo's vision goes black. wy When Lobo wakes up, he is strapped to a chair, and another alien in the ship asks him what his deal is. He asks Lobo what went wrong with his last job, the job revolving around the special drugs. He tells Lobo that they would have a particular effect on Lobo, since there are pieces of Czarnia in the drug. The alien tells him that his healing abilities are keeping the drug in his system, and that he'll be taking Lobo to the citadel, where med-techs will find a way to fix him. The alien prepares a syringe for Lobo, who tells the alien that he's a Lobo and that no one can control him. The alien turns to see Lobo standing right in front of him, not held in the chair. Lobo impales the alien, declaring that he IS Czarnia now.
